Nominations For The Distinguished Alumni Award.

Welcome to 2020 and the North Royalton Alumni Association. This year we are updating the North Royalton Alumni Association, (NRAA,) from the bottom up. Last year the Executive Board examined the purpose and goals of the NRAA and like other volunteer organizations, the role of the NRAA has been evolving. Busy schedules and continued improvements in technology have both had a significant impac on what a traditional service organization does and how it is does it. To that end, we are emphasizing our internet presence as well as considering new activities for our alumni members. All North Royalton High School graduates are automatically members of the NRAA at no cost. Active NRAA members work with the city and attend local events around town. The NRAA continues to

host the traditional events it has sponsored for years. This year the Alumni So cial will again be held at Carrie Cerino’s Restaurant on May 9, 2020 and the traditional “Wing Ding” will be held in July. Both of these events raise money for our Scholarship Fund. In the last several years we have been able to award two $2,000 scholarships, thanks to these events and the generosity of donors. Keep an eye on the Alumni Website (noroalumni.org) and on Facebook to read about the activities of the NRAA. This year we would like to sponsor a youth sports team, engage graduates with family friendly events and host member networking events.

Construction on the new high school is rapidly progressing and should be
“open for business” this coming August. The old (original) portion of the high school will be demolished in the Spring of 2021 and several final walk
through tours for alumni will be scheduled. If you want to see the old high
school while it is still there, keep an eye on dates TBA on our Facebook page

Each year we are looking for nominations of alumni members to receive a Distinguished Alumni award. Please consider someone you know who has distinguished themselves in their career and life since graduating from North Royalton High School. They will be recognized at the Spring Social and their plaques will join the plaques of the prior Distinguished Alumni in the newly constructed high school’s Heritage Hallway.

You are welcome to join us at any of our activities. If you are interested
in sharing some of your time and talents with the North Royalton
Alumni Association, please contact me by email at [email protected], or phone 440-243-2800
